Jennifer Lawrence seems to have confused last night's Oscars with last year's. Not only did she trip over her gown yet again, but she also tried to reclaim her Oscar throne.
Lawrence was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for "American Hustle," but lost out to newcomer Lupita Nyong'o for "12 Years a Slave." J-Law is never one to take awards shows too seriously though (remember "I beat Meryl"?) and jokingly tried to wrest Nyong'o's Oscar out of her hand after the show.
There are no real hard feelings, though: Privately, Lawrence told friends that she hoped Nyong'o would win because she "so deserved it," according to the Daily Mail. Lawrence may even be glad she didn't win, so as to take the pressure off: She's reportedly planning a lengthy break from film work.
They are both so charming and cool I can't stand it. I love them both and I hope that Oscar gold foretells as brilliant a career for Lupita as it did for Jennifer. Someone get her a sci-fi film franchise, stat. We still haven't seen a Wonder Woman movie. Just saying.
