“Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson married boyfriend Justin Mikita in New York City this weekend, tying the knot in front of 200 friends and family, according to Us Weekly. Guests included Ferguson’s co-stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet as well as Zachary Quinto, Rebecca Romijn and Padma Lakshmi.
Ferguson and Mikita have been dating for two years. Whenthe Supreme Court determined that the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), signed by President Bill Clinton in 1996, was unconstitutional, therefore granting federal benefits to same sex-couples, Ferguson took to Twitter, writing, “Remember the old days when#DOMAwas around and gay people couldn’t get married in California? Crazy right!?”
Congrats to the happy — and legal — couple.
