Jon Hamm has announced via a statement from his reps that he recently completed a 30-day stint in a Connecticut rehab facility to address issues with alcohol dependence. The news comes just as Hamm has been finishing up promotional duties for the debut of the final run of episodes of “Mad Men,” the AMC series on which he plays hard-drinking advertising executive Don Draper.

“With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction,” the actor’s reps said in a statement to TMZ. “They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward.” Hamm reportedly checked himself intoSilver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut, voluntarily in late February. There has been no further comment on his treatment.

‘Mad Men’ returns Sunday, April 5 on AMC.
