Julie Chen revealed on “The Talk” on Wednesday that as a 25-year-old, she got plastic surgery to make her look less Asian in order to help her career.
Back when she was a local news reporter in Dayton, Ohio, Chen was told by a former boss and an agent that she wouldn’t get very far because of her “Asian” eyes.
“He said, ‘I cannot represent you unless you get plastic surgery to make your eyes look bigger,'” said Chen about her agent.
She decided to go for it (and, judging by the photo, a lot of other things) saying that after the eye-lid surgery, “the ball did roll for me.” Considering she is hitched to CBS head honcho Les Moonves, we’ll say the ball rolled far.
