Justin Bieber is playing the field

Don’t worry, ladies, you’re safe — for now. Justin Bieber doesn’t want to make you his girlfriend. It turns out the pesky Canadian pop star is still smarting from his breakup with Selena Gomez and he’s not looking to get into something new just yet. Because I know you were wondering.

“I haven’t been in a relationship for a while. I’m chilling and just hanging out. Just being myself,” Bieber tells Australian radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O’Henderson in an interview. “I am a relationship type of guy. I love to be in love and I love cuddling and I love all of that kind of stuff, but I got my heart broken and so I’m just going to let that heal up.”

Also, while discussing some work he did for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Bieber throws in an odd, unprompted defense of the late Michael Jackson. Because why not? “I think that’s a lot of the misconception that they had about Michael Jackson,” Bieber says. “He wanted to be around kids because they are just innocent and he never wanted anything from them. I don’t know if I believe all the stuff going on about Michael, but that’s just my opinion.” OK then.
