Justin Bieber, policy expert? Pop star weighs in on copyright bill

Have you ever wondered how Justin Bieber feels about S.978, a bill that would make it illegal to stream unauthorized copyrighted content online? Cause we know we have!

In the latest installment of “What does Justin Bieber think about politics?” we explore his thoughts and feelings on the Senate bill, introduced by Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, S.978, which would make it a felony offense to stream content that “consists of 10 or more public performances by electronic means, during any 180-day period, of 1 or more copyrighted works.” The website freebeiber.org claims the bill would send aspiring YouTube pop stars to prison for five years.

Bieber, who rose to fame after uploading YouTube videos of himself singing popular songs, does not like the sound of that, which he made clear during an interview with a radio host.

After mistakenly stating Klobuchar was a man, Bieber then declared the senator should be thrown in jail on the mere suggestion of such a bill.

“Whoever she is, she needs to know that I’m saying she needs to be locked up, put away in cuffs,” he said.

Do not mess with Justin Bieber, politicians. He will tell it like it is! Imagine the political force he will be when he is actually old enough to vote!
