Kanye West has been awful quiet lately but the rapper wasn’t going to let the new year kick off without a bang. Just as the clock stuck midnight, he released ‘Only One’ a heartfelt track featuring no other than Paul McCartney on keyboard, which you can hear on KanyeWest.com

The single, a message to the singer from his late mother Donda, is first in a series of collaborations between West and McCartney.

Some of the emotional lyics include: “Remember how I’d say one day, you’d be the man you always knew you would be. And if you knew how proud I was you’d never shed a tear, have a fear. No you wouldn’t do that.”

And the track ends with: “Tell Nori about me, tell Nori about me.”

“My mom was singing to me, and through me to my daughter,” said the rappre in a press release, explaining the name Kanye, means “only one.”

Of course, wife Kim Kardashian took to social media to spread the news about the new track stating on Instagram and Twitter:

“Everyone asks me what my favorite Kanye song is. It’s Only One. Kanye felt like his mom was singing thru him to our daughter. This song makes me cry every time I hear it.”
