Mia Grace Montross, a true avenger

“Who’s the God of Thunder?”
“Thor.”
“Who’s Thor’s brother?”
“Loki.”
“Where do they live?”
“Asgard.”
“What is Captain America’s shield made of?”
“Vibranium.”

Did you answer any of those correctly? If not, you’d lose in a trivia contest to Mia Grace Montross, age 4. When her father, Skip, editor of DaddyDadBlog.com, quizzed her on insanely difficult Marvel trivia during a car ride, the video went viral.

“Between ‘The Super Hero Squad Show’ and the comics I read her, she’s just a comic freak,” her dad says. “She loves her comic books.” We wondered if all that training would pay off, so we put forth some real-world scenarios to see how she’d solve them.

First of all, why do you love superheroes so much?

Because I like them, and they save the day.

Who is your favorite?

I like Ms. Marvel, and Scarlet Witch because Scarlet Witch can shoot stuff out of her hands. Ms. Marvel because of her yellow hair, like mine.

If you were a superhero, what would your name be? What special powers would you have?

Wanda. Shooting stuff from my hands.

OK, let’s talk through some situations. A short bad guy has access to a lot of weapons and keeps threatening to blow up the world. What would you do to save the world?

I would destroy the villains.

A lot of the world has food but some countries don’t, and they are starving and hungry. How would you feed people?

I would shoot food out of my hands.

Some people like to take a special medicine that makes them feel really good, but other people say the medicine is bad because it turns people into monsters. With your super-intelligence, who would you say is more right?

Superheroes are right. Medicine is good.

There’s this special energy source that can provide everyone in the world with power, but it’s very rare. How would you use your superpowers to make sure everyone has access to the energy source?

I would just defeat the villains. In January, I’m going to turn 5.

Some people are getting sick because an alien virus is attacking them. How would you use your powers to cure them?

I would defeat the aliens and give them chicken soup.

OK, last one: It’s very important that everyone gets treated with kindness and respect, no matter who they are. How would you use your superpowers to make sure that everyone gets treated equally?

They have to share. I would just tell them they have to share.
