Celebrities giving their kids ridiculous names is nothing new. And as far as that trend goes, Michael Phelps’ pick for his newborn son isn’t so bad, I guess.

But man, way to go ahead and define a kid’s personality before he’s barely had time to open his eyes. The 18-time Olympic gold medalist and fiancée Nicole Johnson welcomed their first child late last week, and what did they decide to call him? Boomer Robert Phelps. Yup, Boomer. But hey, it’s your kid, Phelps. Knock yourself out.
