The dream of the 90s is still very much alive for one half of "The Boy is Mine" duo — but for the other, only the drama.
On the season 3 premiere of The Real, Monica responded to Brandy's recent Twitter diss by saying that it didn't bother her at all, and that she would definitely collaborate with her old singing partner in the future.
To brief you on the Twitter triflin': A fan had tweeted at Brandy asking if she would particpate in Monica's #Sogone challenge, and all Brandy said was, "Chile, bye."
But for Monica, her beef with Brandy is in the past: "Honestly, the old me and the new me are two different things," she told Loni Love on The Real. "This journey of self-progression and self-love and empowerment that I'm on, I can't go backwards."
Monica also praised Brandy, saying, "I've always thought that she was one of the most legendary people and has one of the most amazing voices" and waxed nostalgic about the "very special time" back when she, Brandy and Aaliyah were all close.
