Bill Cosby won’t be returning to prime-time comedy anytime soon, now that NBC has scrapped plans for a sitcom starring the former “Cosby Show” star following further allegations of sexual assault on top of similar decades-old accusations that had resurfaced recently. NBC declined to comment.

Netflix also announced it is backing off plans for a comedy special starring Cosby that was set to become available next week. “At this time we are postponing the launch of the new stand up comedy special, Bill Cosby 77,'” a spokesman for the streaming entertainment service said. The news comes as former model Janice Dickenson has come forward with allegations Cosby sexually assaulted her in 1982. Dickenson claims Cosby and his lawyers pressured her publisher to remove the information from her 2002 memoir.
