How do you get a crack at reviving the long-running “Alien” franchise when the studio, Fox, initially passes on your pitch? For “District 9” director Neill Blomkamp, the best course of action was apparently to just start posting your design ideas to Instagram. He recently did just that, hinting that Fox wasn’t interested, but fan reaction to the drawings was so strong that the studio changed its tune, officially tapping Blomkamp to add a new chapter to the space horror saga.
