Supermodel Cara Delevingne is never one to shy away from the gaze of social media. Yesterday, she chose to advocate for the “Free the Nipple” campaign via Instagram, where she shared a shot of herself with a male buddy. Both are topless and have a rough anatomical diagram sketched onto their chests – but only the female nipple is censored. See the NSFW photo below.

This isn’t the first time the English model has protested Instagram’s nipple censorship policy, which has resulted in banned photos and deleted accounts among the likes of Rihanna and Kendall Jenner. While in Bali for a photoshoot last month, Delevingne posted a seemingly photo to her Instagram, censored only by a strategically placed roadsign and flashlights.

The activism via social media was perhaps inspired by British model and friend Suki Waterhouse, who posted a photo of atrompe l’oeil bikini with printed nipples the very same day.

Or maybe it was inspired by the likes of Miley Cyrus, who showed off her new tattoo this past week, though the shot seems rather more centered on the sparkly nipple-cover in the topless selfie.

Topless shots and gendered anatomy aside, the #freethenipple campaign wasn’t the only one which the bushy-browed model was featured in yesterday. Delevingne also announced her feature in the autumn/winter 2014 campaign for Chanel on Instagram, twitter, and tumblr.
