Call it possession of a deadly weapon with intent to Crossfit. Music mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs was arrested at UCLA Monday afternoon following an altercation that involved the use of a kettlebell weight as a weapon. The fight reportedly took place at the Los Angeles area university's Acosta Athletic Training Complex and reportedly involved on of the school's football coaches, according to TMZ.
Combs was arrested by the school's police department and charged with assault with a deadly weapon before being transferred to the LA County Sheriff's Office for processing. There was no immediate comment from Combs' reps. Combs' son, Justin, plays for UCLA's football team, and sources tell TMZ that Combs and conditioning coach Sal Alosi had an altercation during which Combs swung a kettlebell at Alosi's head and narrowly missed him.
"I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation," football coach Jim Mora said in a statement. "This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time."
