Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger join Steve Jones as ‘X-Factor’ purge victims

First it was announced that Steve Jones won’t be returning as host of of
the U.S. edition of “The X-Factor,” and now Entertainment Weekly
reports that judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger our out as well,
leaving L.A. Reid and executive producer Simon Cowell as the only judges
from the first season to stick around. A U.K. rep for Cowell pled
ignorance of the staffing changes: “This happens after every show or
series,” he said. “No decisions have been made that I am aware of.”
