Well, this is the saddest thing ever.
The coffin of 25-year-old Peaches Geldof featured a painting of her with her young family, including her husbandmusician Thomas Cohen, and two young sons, Astala, 1, and Phaedra, who will turn 1 later this month. Two of the family’s dogs as well as a cat are also included.
Geldof’s funeral was held today in Kent withSarah Ferguson, Nick Grimshaw, Bill Wyman and Kate Moss in attendance. Geldof’s father, Sir Bob Geldof, reportedly gave the eulogy. The site of the funeral,St. Mary Magdalene & St. Lawrence Church,had much significance for Geldof— it is where the socialite and Cohen were married in 2012 as well as where the funeral of her mother, Paula Yates, was held in 2000.
Geldof died on April 7th at her family’s home in Kent, England. Police are treating it as a “non-suspicious, but unexplained, sudden death.”
