PHOTOS: Taylor Swift passes Kim Kardashian for most followed person on Instagram

Taylor Swift has just become the most popular celebrity in the world…of Instagram.

In addition to her Billboard number one album, “1989,” sold out tours across the country, the pop singer has now become number one on social media.

On Tuesday, she surpassed Kim Kardashian as the most-followed Instagram user in the world. According to a recent count, Swift has 45.7 million followers and Kim Kardashian has 45.6.

Swift’s Instagram account is full of fun pictures of family, friends, her celebrity BFFs, cats and sweaters. She recently posted a photo of a sweater a fan made her. That picture alone received 1.9 million likes.

Kim Kardashian’s approach to Instagram differs a bit. You’ll see a lot of selfies, pictures of her hubby Kanye, her adorable daughter North, and plenty of “#throwbackthursday” posts from photo shoots she’s done in the past.
