Devastated about Zayn Malik's departure from One Direction?

Don't worry: Stephen Hawking will make you feel better.

The superstar scientist appeared as a hologram at Sydney Opera House and an upset 1D fan asked about the cosmological effect of Malik leaving the band. Hawking enjoyed the question:

"Finally a question about something important," Hawking said.

"My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay attention to the study of theoretical physics because, one day, there may well be proof of multiple universes.

"It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another, different universe and, in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction."

Malik said he wanted to live a normal life after five years of intense fame and attention. But One Direction fans may not even have to go to another universe - Malik is reportedly bored with normal life.
