‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ divas Karen Huger & Gizelle Bryant argue over etiquette

If there’s one message the stars of The Real Housewives of Potomac want to make clear, it’s that etiquette matters. During the season’s first episode, things get heated at Charrisse Jackson Jordan’s crab boil — and nope, I’m not talking about the crustaceans.

At the crab boil, ultimate diva Karen Huger confronts Gizelle Bryant about the importance of manners. She gives Gizelle a picture frame filled with five etiquette tips for attending someone else’s birthday. There’s even a mirror around the frame, so that Gizelle can look at herself as she reads the advice. That must really help the lessons sink in, huh?

The drama began a few nights earlier when Gizelle sat in the center seat at Karen’s birthday dinner. Gizelle insists, “Wherever I sit is the baddest place in the building.” Karen wasn’t having it and calls her “ignorant,” repeatedly saying, “It’s not about you, Gizelle.”

While fans were amused on Twitter, Gizelle was not pleased. During an individual interview, she says, “Karen, you don’t have to school me on etiquette. I didn’t come from the cabbage patch.” Just as things start to get even crazier, the episode ends on a cliffhanger. Because, of course. Fans will have to wait until next week to find out who wins the epic etiquette battle of 2016 — Karen vs. Gizelle.
