Sunsets on the Hudson

This Thursday, Hudson Terrace is offering a chance to dine out and enjoy the good weather while it is still here. The retractable rooftop bar and restaurant is offering 2 for 1 specials between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and 20 percent off the bottle list. Hits from the ‘80s will play in the background.

Oktoberfest at Andaz Wall Street

Now through Oct. 1, Monday through Saturday, three locations within the hotel — The Bar Seven Five, the Outdoor Terrace and the Biegarten — will be serving everything from pork belly to German meatloaf, plus specialty beers, to help you get your celebration on.

La Mar Cebicheria Peruana

Peruvian Chef Gaston Acurio, who has 29 restaurants around the world, opens his first in NYC, overlooking Madison Square Park. La Mar’s menu has a focus on seafood, and the cocktail menu showcases pisco, the national spirit of Peru.

Dine Out Irene

Wine Riot at Skylight One Hanson

This Friday and Saturday, Brooklyn’s Skylight One Hanson will be serving up food and unlimited wine tastings of a range of 250 wines, while a live DJ, photo booth and tattoos provide entertainment.

Second Butter Lane location

The East Village cupcake shop has opened its second location in Park Slope. Classic chocolate cupcakes intermingle with the shop’s own creations, like “The Elvis” (peanut butter and banana).

Magnolia Bakery at Bloomingdale’s

In other cupcake news, Magnolia Bakery has created their fifth store, now open in Bloomingdale’s. An array of baked goods such as cookies, cakes and cupcakes are available, as well as Magnolia’s blend of coffee and Harney teas.

Sarabeth’s open in Tribeca

National Bourbon Heritage Month
