These #RichKids have problems most of us could only dream of having.

E!’s newest reality show, “#RichKids of Beverly Hills,” documents the lives of Dorothy Wang and Morgan Stewart, who get their daily cardio workout by shopping, can’t go a minute without scrolling through their Instagram feeds and are burdened with the terrible affliction known as boob sweat.
Part two of the season premiere, which debuted last night, teaches a number of valuable lessons, such as: It’s important to always be within five miles of a Barney’s, having chipped nails is like wearing dirty underwear, and shopping for a Halloween costume and finding the right apartment are, you know, basically the same thing.
The #fabuluxe lifestyles of these young women are put on display to simultaneously hilarious and terrifying effect. Watching the show, you are horrified at the way these girls live, yet you’re unable to look away as they funnel Champagne paid for with their parents’ credit cards. Seeing them pose for a party photo and then sign a $40,000 bill without batting an eye is awe-inspiring.
Last night’s episode opened with the girls shopping, something Dorothy and Morgan do more than sleep. Whether looking for Dorothy’s favorite Birkins or Morgan’s beloved Louboutins, these BFFs are never happier than when they’re at a Beverly Hills boutique.
The episode also features Dorothy’s search for a place of her own. She’s decided it’s finally time move away from her parents’ place. She’s 25. She and Morgan begin their search with Brendan Fitzpatrick, Morgan’s boyfriend and a successful real estate agent. Luckily Dorothy has a $3 million price range.
The drama that occurs in the lives of the #RichKids is perhaps even more fun. Roxy Sowlaty, fellow #RichKid and friend of Dorothy and Morgan, gets cut off in last night’s episode. Though, in the world of these girls, “cut off” includes quite a bit of spending money. Hopefully Roxy’s dog Lychee Lou will still get enough puppy chow.
Dorothy reacts to this sad news with an unexpected level of sympathy. She tells Roxy she’ll always be there for her. Right after she calls Roxy her “poor friend.”
The girls of Beverly Hills aren’t all bad though. While planning a pool party, the girls are happy keeping it to their small circle of friends. After all, wanting a large pool part just means you’ve got a Gatbsy-like problem. How’s that for literary knowledge?
#RichKids of Beverly Hills is sure to remain frightening and entertaining throughout its first season. It isn’t anything close to being good television, but it will be fun to watch. So sit back, grab some popcorn and prepare to have your jaw dropped.
Just make sure the selfie lighting is perfect.
