Rihanna is in a Twitter feud with up-and-coming R&B singer Teyana Taylor.
I have to say, I don't totally get why someone like Rihanna would pick on someone like Teyana, aside from the fact that their names rhyme. I have literally only heard of Teyana because Rihanna is making fun of her. Is this all part of some larger secret plot to make Teyana famous?
It all started on Sept. 11 when Teyana, who's signed to Kanye West's GOOD label, i=Instagrammed a video of herself singing Anita Baker's "Caught in the Rapture."
Rihanna then Instagrammed a video of her male stylist in a Teyana-esque wig, singing the same song and apparently mocking Teyana, and then it was on.
"Petty is petty and shade is shade, bitch knew what the f— she was doing," Teyana tweeted (and later deleted), according to E! Online.
"I REFUSE to help your career…you will NOT get an @ from me! Not til you pay me! #nomorefreepormo #iRefuse," Rihanna responded (but not an @ response, of course). She even changed her Twitter background to a couple of mock financial statements — one showing that Teyana is worth $500,000, the other valuing Rihanna at $90 million.
All of this has now been scrubbed from their Twitter accounts, of course. The tweets are deleted; Rihanna's background image is lipsticks again. I am sure that means they are now best friends.
