In case there was any doubt about Robert Downey Jr.’s success, the “Iron Man” and “Avengers” star has topped Forbes’ list of highest paid actors for the third year in a row. And if that weren’t enough, Downey’s impressive $80 million take between June 2014 and June 2015 is a sweet $30 million ahead of the list’s No. 2 earner, Jackie Chan ($50 million). RELATED:What to expect from ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ So maybe if Downey is pulling down that kind of coin, he could be a little kinder to indie filmmakers looking to squeak by? Yeah, probably not.

I’d like to think that after “Pixels,” Sandler’s spot next year won’t be so prominent, but who am I kidding?
