It's official: Rosie O'Donnell is returning to "The View," according to a tweet from the show earlier this afternoon. O'Donnell will join moderator Whoopi Goldberg for the ABC show's 18th season.

Things come full circle for the comedienne; she served on the all-women panel from 2006 to 2007, where she famously clashed with Donald Trump. The year she left, a PARADE readers' poll voted her the "Most Annoying Celebrity of 2007."

There have been some reports that Abby Huntsman, the co-host of "The Cycle" on MSNBC will join the panel. We've further heard that political commentator and gay rights activist Margaret Hoover is being considered. Hoover has co-hosted "The View" in the past.
