Google Street View

If you ever fantasized about what it would be like to zoom around town in Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon, then your fantasy will become a [virtual] reality today.

Just in time for the much hyped “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens,” a fan created a modified version of Google Street View that will let you explore almost any location on earth while appearing to be in the cockpit of a Star Wars spacecraft.

Users get to pick from Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon, Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing, or Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter.

When selecting the Falcon, you will begin your ride in London, not far from the iconic Big Ben. Selecting the X-Wing will place you near Times Square. If Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter is selected, you will be placed in Brussels, Belgium — in front of the Atomium building. Once you select your spacecraft, you will get to listen to iconic music from the movie as you make your way around town.

Tip: If you want to visit anywhere in the world, simply zoom out of the map by pressing the minus key on the bottom right of your screen and then move the yellow Google cursor to a location of your choice.
