Time off for Timberlake

Justin Timberlake might be avoiding the spotlight for a little while, he warns. “I’ve spent a lot of time feeling like I needed to validate so much of who I was by what I did,” he tells Esquire magazine. “I think you can work and work and work and never really live.” So what is Timberlake planning to do instead? “The plan is to have no plan,” he says. “I’ll probably travel, but I’d rather be spontaneous. I feel like I’ve earned at least a little bit of time to do that.”

Sandy’s nursery steps up

The bar has been raised when it comes to shopping for Sandra Bullock’s infant son, Louis, after the actress’s agents picked up a $14,000 Andy Warhol painting at a charity auction and gave it as a gift to the young boy, according to Hollyscoop. “I want to thank Kevin Huvane and Bryan Lourd for not being cheap f—s and gifting my son with his first Warhol,” Bullock joked at the event.

Halloween gets tricky for Usher

Usher ran afoul of a fellow citizen after parking in a handicap space in Atlanta recently, according to TMZ. His black SUV was stopped outside a Halloween costume shop when an unidentified woman started screaming at him. After being ignored for too long, the woman turned violent, lunging at the singer and his companions.

Kelly Clarkson still looking

Kelly Clarkson wants to clarify that she is not a lesbian. “I’m from a small town, so everyone’s married with children or about to have children,” she says during a visit to “The View.” “That’s why people think I’m gay — because they’re like, ‘Why aren’t you married?’ And I’m like, ‘It doesn’t happen for everyone right off the bat!’”
