You would think the producers of "Empire" would know better than anyone not to cross Cookie Lyon, but apparently not. Taraji P. Henson, the breakout star of Fox's music industry nighttime soap, is reportedly "livid" over the bump in pay she received for Season 2, considering all the attention her character has been receiving.

“When she found out what her co-stars got, she threw a fit. She feels she should be compensated much more as the star of the show," a source tells In Touch. Henson's position, the source claims, is that she's entitled to a lot more credit — and compensation — for the ensemble series' success. But her bosses apparently disagree.

When Henson brought the matter to them, reaching out in hopes of renegotiating the contract, they "flat-out said no," according to the source. "She was livid." This should make for some pleasant days on set when the show goes back into production.
