Fans of “The Mindy Project,” we have some sad news for you — the sixth season will be its final season. The show follows Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling), a skilled OB/GYN who aspires to perfection in both her professional goals and career, which includes finding “Mr. Right.” It made its debut in 2012 and has aired 107 episodes to date. The series also starsEd Weeks (Jeremy Reed), Ike Barinholtz (Morgan Tookers), Beth Grant (Beverly), Xosha Roquemore (Tamra Webb) and Fortune Feimster (Colette Kimball-Kinney). It was nominated for a Writers Guild Award for a New Series in 2013. In 2014, Kaling also won a Gracie Award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Leading Role in a Comedy and an NAACP Image Award nomination. The final season will air on HULU in September 2017.
