The ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ are out of their element at whiskey tasting

On this week’s “Real Housewives of Potomac,” Ashley Darby officially meets the rest of the cast. She’s eager to land a spot in Potomac’s inner circle, but she has to earn the ladies’ respect first. To prove herself, Ashley hosts a whiskey tasting.

“The drink in Potomac is champagne. I’m more of a brown liquor kind of girl,” she admits. To say the event is out of the rest of the group’s comfort zone would be the understatement of the century. In her confessional interview, Karen Huger says, “I am dressed to the nines. I didn’t know the attire was flip-flops.”

Eventually, the rest of the crew arrives, and they begin throwing back shots — but not without complaining about the venue first. They toast to “pacing themselves,” although that’s not quite what happens. All that whiskey drinking leads to rehashing old arguments. Ashley is amused by the drama, saying, “How old are y’all? Is this a day care center?”

For the most part, Ashley fits in well, but there’s still work to be done. As she not so eloquently puts it, “If Robyn and Gizelle remove those sticks from their asses, we can probably become friends too.” Yikes! Hopefully she has better luck with those two next time.
