The Voice recaps the best moments from the blind auditions of season 9, which managed to round up a lot of young and certainly talented artists on the show. As they replayed the best of the blinds, the coaches share how they built their incredible teams and discuss what threats the other coaches pose.

According to the other coaches, Pharrell’s approach is to play it cool and keep it humble. But even with all his modesty, Blake said he felt most threatened by Team Pharrell. Going into the battle rounds next week, Pharrell will coach his team with the help of Missy Elliott.

Blake typically gains the loyalty of southerners by playing his cowboy boot-wearing, name-dropping country-card. Aside from his strong southern roots, Adam said contestants usually pick Blake because they can see true friendship in him. Although Gwen claimed that Blake is probably the boss of some country mafia. Blake reveals that he’ll be bringing in Brad Pasley to help coach his team through the battle rounds.

After taking a break from last season, Gwen has stepped up to prove that she can hold her own in this competition. Gwen’s team is sprinkled with girls who are a resemblance of her as a young rock artist and could very well make her the first female coach to win The Voice. Gwen prepped for her battle rounds with the help of Selena Gomez.
