After Amanda started a fire in their Thousand Oaks neighborhood, resulting in her being placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold, her mother and father will petition the court tomorrow to place her under their conservatorship, which would give them control of her professional and personal affairs for as long as the court deems it necessary.
This seems like a sad but necessary step for the actress, whose meltdown has gone from amusing to genuinely frightening this summer. Hopefully they can get her back on her feet.
