Actress Emma Roberts was arrested in Canada on July 7 for domestic violence. She and her boyfriend, "American Horror Story" star Evan Peters, were staying in a Montreal hotel when a fellow guest heard them fighting and called the police. Because Peters had clear physical injuries, including a bloody nose, the actress was taken into custody.
However, Peters declined to press charges, so Roberts was released after a few hours, according to the Daily Mail.
"It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding," Emma's representative said. "Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."
A law enforcement source also claimed that Peters had a visible bite mark, which a source close to Roberts denies.
50 Cent, Roberts' co-star in the 2010 movie "Twelve," was also recently arrested for domestic violence. The rapper has been charged with attacking his ex-girlfriend, kicking her and trashing her condo last month. 50 says the charges are bogus and that he didn’t hit the woman, who is also the mother of his child. The LAPD disagree: 50 has been hit with five misdemeanor charges, including domestic violence and vandalism, for what police estimate is $7,100 worth of damage to the condo, according to USA Today.
