Jay Z's latest video, "Picasso Baby," features him rapping in a Manhattan art gallery to a succession of Hollywood celebrities and art world stars. For one young star, the excitement proved too much: Jemima Kirke, who plays Jessa on "Girls," jumped on his back in a sort of snuggle attack and had to be removed by security when her time was up.
Kirke "kept jumping on his back like a little monkey," according to the Daily News. “Someone was screaming ‘Get her off of him!’” Security did manage to pull Jemima off the rapper, kicking her legs and saying, "Let us finish!"
I, for one, am very disappointed in Jemima. If I managed to hug Jay Z, no security team in the land could pry me off.
Add it to the long, long list of musicians whose names we have to double check every time we want to write about ‘em: Snoop Lion (nee Snoop Dogg); Ms. Lauryn Hill (nee Lauryn Hill); Diddy Dirty Money (nee P. Diddy, nee nee Puff Daddy); uh, every single name change Prince ever had. You get the idea.
