“Mad Men” star January Jones has no apparent interest in dispelling rumors about who fathered her 20-month-old son Xander. Why? She thinks – quite reasonably, it must be admitted – that it is nobody’s dang business.

Jones, who stars as Betty Francis on “Mad Men,” told the New York Times,“That’s my son’s business. It’s not the public’s business.”

Maybe not, but the public really, really wants to know. Doesn’t that count for anything? Please? What if the public promises not to make fun of Mad Men’s Fat Betty anymore? No? Boo, January Jones.

Xander’s parentage isn’t the only unusual thing surrounding his birth – after he was born, January ate his placenta. As far as she’s concerned, that’s no odder than the rest of the birthing process. “I’m a mammal. I nursed. I did all kinds of weird stuff,” she says.

Earlier this year Rumors swirled aroundLiam Hemsworth(who is currently engaged toMiley Cyrus) andJanuary Jonesgetting “hot and heavy” at a pre-Oscar party at the Chateau Marmont.

“They went to a private house party, and right in the middle of the party, January was clinging to Liam, saying, ‘You’re so handsome,’” a guest revealed in Life & Style. “He kept saying, ‘We can’t do this here.’ Then they left holding hands and went out in the hallway and were making out. She was wasted. It wasn’t good.”
