Kate Moss, the queen of "heroin chic," was the fashion icon of the early '90s: Her superskinny, smeary-eyed look inspired a thousand copycats. But even being the face of a generation doesn't save you from body insecurity, apparently.
"I didn't like my flat chest," the supermodel tells Allure. "I was like, 'Oh, I'm going to have a t*t job.' Can you imagine?" No, I really can't. I think it's good Kate opted against plastic surgery, since she's still almost supernaturally beautiful 20 years later, but I do think it would have been a little funny if she'd shown up at one of those grim grungy fashion shoots suddenly sporting Marilyn Monroe-level ta-tas.
Speaking of heroin chic, Kate says it's a misnomer: She never did heroin, she claims, nor did she have an eating disorder.
In a brilliant fundraising ploy, Britian’s BBC Radio 1 challenged Kate to read an excerpt from “Fifty Shades of Grey” if £200,000 could be raised for the organization Children In Need during the morning show, hosted by DJ Nick Grimshaw, reports Refinery 29. And sure enough the good people of England forked up the cash.
Watch as the fashion icon breathily channels Anastasia Steele. And then cutely erupts into giggles.
