What do you think Keira Knightley's greatest strength as an actor is? Tallness? Fancy accent? Putting up with Johnny Depp?
How about extreme frugality?
The actress had a very successful year in 2012, and her company Kck Boo Ltd raked in 1.5 million pounds from films and endorsements, according to the Daily Mail - but she chose to pay herself just 30,000 pounds out of that, or roughly what a cup of coffee costs in London.
How did Keira manage to save so much money? By living as simply as ever a movie star could. Though she got married last year, her wedding guest list was just 11 people, and she kept her other expenditures at a minimum too.
"Her biggest expenditure put through the books was £41,000 on security but she spent little else," a source said. "Her travel costs were just over £4,000 and she didn’t pay for a personal trainer, despite spending almost £1,000 on one the year before. The accounts also show that she did not shell out a penny on clothes and make-up."
Let's all take a lesson from Keira. Only wear clothes that the designer sends you for free, because you are very beautiful and famous and tall.
Keira Knightley married her rock musician boyfriend James Righton in early May in a discreet ceremony in a French village, regional daily La Provence reported on its website.
Knightley, 28, who was nominated for an Oscar for her lead role in the 2005 film “Pride & Prejudice,” got engaged a year ago to Righton, who plays in British indie band Klaxons. The couple has been dating for about two years.
