The Word: Miley Cyrus’ Rolling Stone outtakes are great, and crazy

Miley Cyrus Rolling Stone

You guys, I think we need to talk about Miley Cyrus’ cover story for the latest issue of Rolling Stone. Because it’s amazing. And totally crazy. Just like my girl Mi-Cy (uh huh, that’s what I’m calling her now). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: despite being a rational, mostly fully-functioning, semi-adult person who is not currently tripping balls on the Molly, I love everything that Miley Cyrus does and says. Because honey badger. don’t. care.

And honey badger has a ton of crazy things to say. So many things, in fact, that they all couldn’t fit in one story! On Friday, to my utter delight, RS released the “outtakes” from the interview — and they are such tasty little nuggets of wackness that I do not envy the editor who had to cut them from print.

The highlights? Oh NBD, just that she’s like a “creepy, sexy baby,” for one. (Can’t argue with that, there’s nothing creepier than a sexed up infant, IMO). She also compared herself to Sinead O’Connor (I’m sure Sinead would appreciate that) and said that she is partially personally responsible for starting forest fires in L.A. (I’m sure Smokey the Bear would not appreciate that).

Lastly, she got real candid about her drug use (shocking approximately nobody) and revealed that while she loves Molly and the cheeba — and once smoked peyote (uh, what?) — she does not get down with blow. Because, “it’s like what are you, from the ’90s? Ew.”

Which made me laugh so hard at my desk, in between drags on my peyote cigarette. Because, I’m pretty sure that the ‘90s were not the cocaine years. And I’m pretty sure that Miley Cyrus is, in fact, from the ‘90s. (Quick Google search confirms that Miley Cyrus was born in 1992. Ew.)
