If you're worried about Lindsay Lohan's future — and I don't know about you, but that's been my constant emotional state for the past eight years or so — this news might be a ray of hope: On Lindsay's new eight-part reality show on OWN, she'll be mentored by Oprah herself.
That's according to Lindsay's mother Dina, at least. "Oh, it's fantastic. If anyone is going to help mentor you, it's going to be Oprah," she told E! Online. She also told them that she's likely to appear in the show herself.
All of this is mere speculation at this point, of course — the show is meant to follow Lindsay's recovery and attempt to revive her career after rehab, where she's currently serving her latest stint. But I certainly hope Oprah takes Lindsay under her wing. If Oprah can't straighten you out, no one can.
According to “The Canyons” director Paul Schrader, working with Lindsay Lohan is worth all the headaches.
“Tardiness, unpredictability, tantrums, absences, neediness, psychodrama — yes, all that, but something more, that thing that keeps you watching someone on screen, that thing you can’t take your eyes off of, that magic, that mystery,” Schrader wrote in an essay for Film Comment.
