Despite rumors to the contrary, Jaden Smith is not moving out of his parents’ house any time soon.

During an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show yesterday, Will Smith and his son quashed rumors that Jaden, 15, is to become an emancipated minor. He’s staying put, they say.

“See, here’s the thing that you need to understand: I’m not going anywhere,” Jaden said, according to Yahoo. “The thing that people don’t get is everything at this house is free! So I can get anything and everything at his house, so I’m going to be there 20, 30 more years.”

Will apparently has no problem with Jaden’s plan to become the ultimate homebody.”I mean … my baby boy, he’s never leaving me, ever,” he said.

Willow Smith has remained suspiciously quiet throughout this controversy. Has the Smith family checked to see if she went and emancipated when no one was looking?

Emancipation rumorsbegan swirlingafter a report in British tabloid The Sun that the couple’s oldest son and young co-star of the summer blockbuster “After Earth” wanted to emancipate himself from his famous family.

In an interview with Metroin April, Will and Jaden spoke about the upcoming movie and the emancipation topic came up:

Jaden, what happens when you’re 18 and Will kicks you out of the house?

J: We’ll probably work together ‘till he retires, and he probably won’t retire.

W: [Laughs] No we’ve been talking about, he’s been thinking about becoming an emancipated minor.

J: Just thoughts that pop into my head.
