The Simpsons are ready to meet any and all cartoon counterparts.

Fans of the beloved-but-canceled “Futurama,” take heart: There is a crossover episode in the works with “The Simpsons.” It’s unclear when the episode will air, but the original voice talent from the scifi cartoon will be appearing on an episode of “The Simpsons” this year. This joins the already-announced “Family Guy”/”Simpsons” crossover that will also be happening.
The news came out of the ongoing Television Critics Association press tour. Fox exec Peter Rice also talked about the future of “24” and “Bones,” but in both cases said the possibility of future seasons was still up in the air. “Bones” stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz are both under contract for one more season, but the show could go on after that if they re-sign.
