Kate Winslet is confirms that her first child with husband Ned Rocknroll, son Bear born last month, has her last name instead of his.
“Of course we’re not going to call it Rocknroll,” she tells the U.K. edition of Glamour. “We haven’t really had that conversation. It was always going to have my name.” But lest we think Winslet has been bowing to outside pressure, rest assured the actress doesn’t care what other people think. “People might judge all they like, but I’m a f—ing grown-up,” Winslet says.
This is Winselt’sthird child (she has two previous children by her two previous husbands: Mia is the daughter of director Jim Threapleton, and Joe is the son of director Sam Mendes.)
As for Bear, everyone is thrilled with him and his name (Bear has no say in this).“They are all doing so well, they both absolutely adore him — and the name Bear,” a source told The Sun.
