Shahs Of Sunset - Season 3

Metro’s Tuesday night TV breakdown.

‘Shahs of Sunset’
REALITY. Of all the many and varied iterations of trashy, vapid — yet endlessly entertaining — reality shows that Bravo churns out, this might be one of our favorites. Maybe it’s because these people actually do seem to have real friendships (beneath all of the makeup, meretricious trappings and drama). Or maybe it’s just because they party so damn unapologetically. Seriously, MJ is the hottest mess around, but she’s also sort of awesome. Either way, we’re glad it’s back for a third season tonight.
Season Premiere, 10 p.m., BRAVO

‘Dads’
COMEDY. Dudes, how has this show not been canceled yet? It’s a little bit painful to watch Giovanni Ribisi squandering his considerable talents on this middling sitcom about two douchey bros and their annoying, meddlesome dads. Tonight, they catch bedbugs — which sort of feels like some sort of metaphor for the way this show makes us feel in general: itchy.
8 p.m., FOX

‘New Girl’
COMEDY. Tonight, Damon Wayans Jr. returns to the show as Coach, the roommate from early episodes of the show. When Wayans Jr. left the show, after just two episodes, and they brought in Lamorne Morris as his replacement roommate, we sort of thought they were just switching out black actors and were all “Uhhh, WTF, New Girl?” This clears up some things.
