Metro’s Wednesday night TV breakdown.

‘Bear Grylls: Escape From Hell’
SURVIVAL. If anyone can escape from the Devil’s ‘hood, it’s Bear Grylls. This is a maniac who once climbed inside a rotting camel carcass for warmth on “Man vs. Wild.” Nothing says cozy like a Snuggie made of a carrion flesh. In this special six-part series, the survivalist puts himself into life threatening scenarios (the conditions of which are identical to true life situations that less hardy humans have endured/perished in) and….tries to survive them.

‘American Horror Story: Coven’
SUSPENSE. We admit we were a bit skeptical at the beginning of this season as to whether it could live up to previous thrills and chills, but now we’re convinced: this is the best season of “AHS” yet. This third season is all about the ladies — and there are some bad bitches running amok in spooky N’awlins. It doesn’t hurt that they’ve put together an all star cast of iconic actresses — Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates and, soon it’s now rumored (via Twitter), the white witch of rock ‘n’ roll herself, Stevie Nicks. Oh hell yes. Tonight, the girls conjure an evil entity through a Ouija board. That’s probably not going to end well for anyone.

‘Burning Love’
COMEDY. In the second season of this Ben Stiller-produced, scripted comedy that spoofs “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” comedian June Diane Raphael stars as the lucky single gal who has hordes of suitors vying for her affections. (Last season Ken Marino starred as the bachelor.) It’s a pretty funny show.
