Metro’s Wednesday night TV breakdown.

‘American Horror Story: Coven’
HORROR. The freaky-deakiest show on TV is back, just in time for Halloween season. And this time, there will be witches. If we know this show as well as we think we do, these will not be of the pointy hat-wearing, wart-on-the-nose variety either. These witches will be scary as all hell. Bring it on.
Season Premiere, 10 p.m., FX

‘The Tomorrow People’
FANTASY. This is an adaptation of a British sci-fi children’s series from the ’70s about a special group of young people with supernatural abilities. Since this is a CW show, you can expect all said young people to also possess hard bodies and glossy good looks, which is a kind of superpower as well, if you think about it.
Series Premiere, 9 p.m., The CW

‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’
COMEDY. Tonight, the gang get caught in the middle of an armed robbery. We’re betting Mac tries to save the day with his karate moves.
10 p.m., FXX

‘Arrow’
ACTION. Another CW show, another super attractive leading man. Le sigh, beauty is so boring. Except when it isn’t. This is the second season premiere of this action/adventure show about a buff superhero with the title name.
Season Premiere, 8 p.m., The CW
