Rob Corddry let his 7-year-old kid give him a tattoo

Rob Corddry

Thursday night’s episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” featured a “Daily Show” reunion of sorts, as fellow Comedy Central alum Rob Corddry stopped by to hang out with his old work buddy.

The Weymouth native was there to hype of the new season of HBO’s “Ballers,” which stars Corddry and WWE-turned-Hollywood superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, but the conversation quickly turned to the actor’s life as a father. Corddry admitted to the late-night host that he’s passed down his creative genes to his kids, but they aren’t exactly following him into the world of comedic acting.

The 46-year-old, Boston-bred performer revealed to Colbert that his 7-year-old daughter actually has her heart set on becoming a tattoo artist.

“My youngest daughter has always wanted to be a tattoo artist,” Corddry said. “Could you imagine if you said that to your mother when you were growing up? She would slap you across your face.”

The former “Childrens Hospital” star’s kid was apparently inspired to become an ink master after she learned that it was the profession of one of Corddry’s friends. And since he’s such a supportive father, the actor of course had to let his little one use his body as a test canvas.

“I love her and I love the tattoo that she gave me,” Corddry told Colbert before showing the leg ink to the audience. “It’s a hedgehog in case you’re confused.”

“She was so cute too,” the proud papa added, “I’ve never seen a 7-year-old so focused.”

While the tattoo looks more like a rhino, we’ll give her an A+ for effort.
