Peter Dinklage’s Games of Thrones character Tyrion Lannister is known for his wit, and he’s clearly pretty funny off-screen too, judging by the comic track he’s laid down with Coldplay for NBC’s fund-raising Red Nose Day show tonight.

“Remember Ned Stark? He was a lot of fun, but he didn’t make it past season one, Robert Baratheon was part of that crew,” quips Dinklage in the track tracing the grisly deaths of key characters, “but he never made it to season two.”

He’s not the only GOT star to get in on the act – Nikolaj Coster-Waldau aka Jamie Lannister actor sings “Closer to Home”, a ballad dedicated to his lover-sister Sersei.

This is the first-ever U.S. Red Nose Day – the fund-raising day is a huge annual event in the UK, with fun fund-raising events taking place all over the country, culminating in a star-studded comic telethon. Established by Four Weddings and a Funeral director Richard Curtis, the idea is to raise funds by making people laugh.
