This video is visual proof that foxes are not very far removed from their dog cousins. This baby fox, Dawn, is one of the six resident foxes at Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary in Warwickshire, U.K. Dawn is tame because someone found her and thought she was a dog, and took her to a dog shelter. Now she is too tame to be released back into the wild, but she seems happy to be at the sanctuary.
In the video, Dawn wags her tail just like a dog when she sees her caretakers and purrs while they scratch her head and pet her. The sanctuary reminded users on YouTube that even so, Dawn is still not a pet and they do not recommend keeping a fox as a pet.
