An incredible new time-lapse video by filmmaker Anthony Cerniello shows a young girl gradually aging into an old woman in less than five minutes.
Unlike time-lapse videos that use hundreds of photographs of the same person, Cerniello stitched together photos from different members of one family, and added animation to speed up the process.
“I attempted to create a person in order to emulate the aging process,” Cerniello writes in the description for the video. “The idea was that something is happening but you can’t see it but you can feel it, like aging itself.”
The transitions are so seamless that there are moments that the images don’t even appear to be changing.
