Video: Jimmy Fallon missed his chance to go out with Nicole Kidman

Poor Jimmy Fallon. Last night, the “Tonight Show” host learned that he could have gone on a date with Nicole Kidman. Apparently, back in his “SNL” days, a mutual friend brought her over for a visit to his apartment, and unbeknownst to him, she had a bit of a crush on him. Tragically, he didn’t realize what was going on, and his only preparation for the visit was to go down to a deli and buy some fancy cheeses to serve. We learn a couple of important things in this video: One, that even famous attractive people are awkward about dating. Two, Fallon once had a total bachelor pad filled with “sneakers and video games.” And three, he did not know what brie was, which is kind of cute.

Fallon clearly goes through some stages of grief about not getting to date someone as totally glamorous as Kidman, but takes the higher ground by pointing out that Kidman found a cooler husband than him in Keith Urban.
