Video: John Oliver takes on online harassment

Before “Last Week Tonight” premiered, there were a few concerns that John Oliver’s weekly format might make it hard for him to cover current enough events, the way “The Daily Show” does. But he continues to prove that there’s plenty of room out there for a comedy show to cover evergreen topics, as he did with his coverage last night of online harassment. Covering everything from the way the media blames revenge porn victims to law enforcement’s confused and often insufficient response, he lays out exactly how horrible it is to have a crime for which the only response is “stay off the internet for a while.” Because no one can really stay off the internet, can they?
